Digital Innovation Expo ’23 (KB 38)

On 25 October, the Digital Innovation Expo, a get-together of digitally minded researchers and staff, took place. There were 18 stands in which digital innovations were shown and explained. From Digital Twins to VR, from 4D Soil to strip farming, from ontologies to meta data.

In addition to the stands, a pitch battle was also held. All pitchers did great; in just three minutes, they were able to explain flawlessly what their innovation entailed, why it was innovative and what impact it could have. And because it was a battle, it was also about winning the KB challenge cup (see picture). This year, the winner was: Puneet Mishra. The digital innovation he showed was the All-in-one spectral imager.

Next to the digitally minded WUR colleagues, we also had participants from the Ministry of LNV, RVO and NVWA. Since LNV finances the KB 38 programme, Jene van der Heide (programme lead) had a cosy fireside chat with Frans Lips (LNV) on building bridges between science and policy.
