Exhibition Magic Moments in Forum Library

Published on
June 14, 2018

Forum Library is currently exhibiting work of Ellen Reuver. On display are a few of her early sculptures in and metal and alabaster, and some more recent work in stone.

Ellen Reuver is a senior policy advisor at the ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. And an enthusiastic and gifted sculptor in her free time. The exhibition is located on the 3rd floor in Forum Library and can be seen during the Library’s opening hours till September 2018.

"My tutor and inspirator was Markó Markov, a well known sculptor and artist. Ever since 2010 my only medium is stone: mainly marble and other types of freestone. Besides the human body, I find my inspiration in nature: shells, leaves and other organic forms"

"What I like most about working in stone is that you
work from the outside to the inside. I like that unexpected things happen sometimes. And then, at the end, there’s always the surprise when the stone is polished and shows it’s true colours.  That is a magical moment."
