The study associations of Wageningen University & Research invite you to dress fancy, explore the wonders of nature and join this grand student gala with 100 years WUR. Let’s celebrate the closing weekend of a successful centennial year. Do you dare to be part of a WUR fairytale?

Once upon a time, 12 study associations from all over Wageningen joined together to organise the most spectacular gala the city had seen in a 100 years. Tonight we are bringing you the ultimate closing party of the WUR anniversary year: The Gala of the Century!

The Gala of the Century will feature amazing entertainment acts across three different stages, a free dancing class and many other suprises throughout the evening. It’ll be a magical night!

Note: the dancing class starts at 21.00 and registration is necessary. Further details about the programme will be announced on our Facebook page

Pre-order your ticket now and pick it up during our promotion week from 29 October. There are two types of tickets: Discount Ticket (members from organising study associations) 28 euro Regular Ticket (other students, WUR and non-WUR) 30 euro First drink is included in the ticket, subsequent drinks can be bought wih coins (coin: 1,50 euro).

What are the ticket prices?

The ticket price for members of participating study associations is €28,-
The ticket price for non-members (and +1s) is 30€,-

How do I order my ticket?

You can order your ticket on the website. After ordering, you can pick up your ticket in Forum in the week of the 29th of October. Every day, the pre-ordered tickets will be ready for you between 12.00-14.00.

What do I do if I am not available to pick up my own ticket during the week of 29 October?

If you're not able to pick up your own ticket, someone else can do this, if they can show your payment confirmation e-mail.

Can I resell my ticket to a friend?

Yes, you can. However, make sure the person you're selling your ticket to falls within THE SAME TICKET TYPE. So, for example, only members from organizing study associations can receive the 28 euro tickets. Your name and membership are checked during the ticket sale and at the door.

Are the tickets bound to names?

No, they are not. However, we do check whether your type of ticket complies with your (non-)membership of a study associations.

I am not a WUR student, can I come to Gala of the Century?

Gala of the Century is a student festivity. However, students from all other Dutch and international universities are welcome to celebrate with us. Also alumni and employees that have a WUR card will be accepted. Please be aware that we don’t accept guests younger than 18 years. It is compulsory to show your ID card at the door.

I have never been to a Dutch student gala before, what can I expect?

Dutch student galas are quite familiar amongst all types of student and study associations. In most cases these come down to a more fancy equipped party, with live music and/or a DJ. Everyone is expected to look their best, especially as a photographer will be present with his own stand to capture this memory for you and your friends. At many student associations, there is an interesting tradition of ‘asking dates’. However, it is becoming increasingly popular to visit a gala with a larger group of friends and have dinner together before leaving for the party. Don’t hesitate to ask a typical Dutchie for more ins-and-outs on the famous concept of Dutch student galas.
