Genotype - alcohol interactions: Identification of genes underlying alcohol addiction in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans

The alcohol related phenotypes of organisms result from complex networks of interactions between different genes, and between these genes and the alcoholic environment.

The extent to which a genotype can change its phenotype in a range of alcohol environments has been poorly studied. The objective is to identify genes underlying alcohol plasticity in life-cycle traits using QTL mapping, genome editing and behavioral studies.
