Info Session on upcoming Food Systems Challenges

Take a look at the Transformative Research Challenge organized by the World Food Forum and the Food Systems Game Changers Lab organized by Thought for Food, the Rockefeller Foundation, Ideo and EAT. Leading up to the UN Food Systems Summit in September/October 2021, these challenges call for ideas, initiatives and innovations that have the potential to bring positive systemic change.

On Thursday 29 April, 3.00 to 4.30 pm CEST, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), IFSTAL/ University of Oxford and Wageningen University & Research (WUR Student Challenges) organize an info session for their students (and inviting students from other universities worldwide) to learn more about the Food Systems Game Changers Lab and the World Food Forum’s Transformative Research Challenge. The session will also be a space to link up with other students and create teams – possibly even with students from across the universities!

World Food Forum’s Transformative Research Challenge

The WFF Transformative Research Challenge call for applications will open during this event On Thursday 29 April, 3 to 4 pm CEST. If you are a young-at-heart researcher or an aspiring researcher with an innovative research idea to help end hunger and transform global food systems, apply for the opportunity to showcase at the WFF virtual stage in October 2021. 

Food Systems Game Changers Lab

The Global Open Call for solutions (first phase) will close on May 14, 2021. For the purposes of the Food Systems Game Changers Lab, a solution is an idea, initiative, or innovation that has the potential to bring positive systemic change. The lab is interested in solutions in all stages of readiness—from ideas to prototypes to fully implemented—and at all scales—from local to city, country, region, and global.
