Project
Innovative governance arrangements for protection and sustainable use of biodiversity, nature and landscape
What are innovative governance arrangements that work?
The background of the project is the question how societal change for sustainable use and protection of biodiversity, nature and landscape can be initiated. In general it is known to the Environmental Assessment Agency what is needed for sustainable use of biodiversity and nature protection. However, policy initiatives are not always easy to realize. Therefore, the question of this project is: what are innovative governance arrangements that work? Under which conditions are innovative governance arrangements successful to provoke societal change? The aim of the project is to develop innovative governance arrangements for sustainable use of biodiversity (supply chains) and for a greater societal involvement in nature protection in the Netherlands.
The project will result in recommendations that support future policy advice and other products of the Environmental Assessment Agency.
This postdoc project is carried out on behalf of the Environmental Assessment Agency (www.pbl.nl) in the Netherlands.
