
KB programmes 2024 approved
The WUR Management Board approved the activity plans for the Knowledge Base programmes Data Driven & High Tech (KB-38) and the Wageningen Modelling Group (KB-33) for 2024. 2024 Is the last year for these KB programmes, since the programmes follow the heartbeat of the WUR strategy period.
KB-38 consists of the following projects:
- Smart Data in food & health; project leads are Robbert Robbemond and Lorijn van Rooijen.
- Empowering explainable AI (in arable and animal farming); project leads are Claudia Kamphuis and Corne Kempenaar.
- Sensing approaches for food value chains; project leads are Aneesh Chauhan and Rick van der Zedde
- Robotics in agrifood; project leads are Ard Nieuwenhuizen and Aneesh Chauhan
- High-tech solutions for natural resource conservation; project leads are Arun Pratihast and Kelly Rijswijk
- Knowledge Management; project lead tba
- Small Innovative Projects (SIPs); project lead is Bas van der Velden.
KB-33 consists of the following tasks:
- Implementing and updating existing building blocks
- Integrated development and application of WUR models
- Promotion of model quality and guidelines / labels
- Building a WUR-wide modelling community
- Value Creation with models
- Model stewardship
- Coordination and communication
