Lecture and tour Beautiful Botany
We are pleased to invite you to a lecture about the botanical illustrator Berthe Hoola van Nooten on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Following the lecture, you can join a guided tour of the exhibition 'Beautiful Botany: Illustrations by Berthe Hoola van Nooten and others' at the Special Collections of WUR Library.

About the lecture & tour
David Coppoolse and Marcel Dorst are the authors of the biography: "Berthe Hoola van Nooten (1817-1892), leven en werk van een ongekende bloementekenares". They will discuss her remarkable life story and work during the lecture.
Following the lecture, you can join a guided tour of the exhibition Beautiful Botany: Illustrations by Berthe Hoola van Nooten and others. You will also have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the Special Collections of WUR Library. The exhibition shows the exquisite drawings of botanical artist Berthe Hoola van Nooten. Also on display are illustrations by botanical artists who have worked for WUR (and its predecessors.
The lecture will take place in Dutch. The exhibition texts are in both English and Dutch.

When: Wednesday 21 May 2025, doors open 3 p.m.
Where: Wageningen University & Research, Forum, Building,102, Droevendaalsesteeg 2 , Wageningen. The lecture takes place in room V0031/V0034 on the ground floor.
