How do I search for scientific literature in Google and Scirus?
Library faq 10
Use Google Scholar. This search engine indexes the full text of scientific journals from many publishers, but it is not comprehensive. The product is under development and its coverage is growing. Citations to other types of publications can be found as well.
You can use Google Scholar's Library links to locate full text documents in Wageningen UR Library.
For books there is another separate search engine from Google: Google book search. It has limitations due to copyright restrictions, only the older books are fully free accessible. On this occasion Google is cooperating with several major scientific libraries such as Massachusetts, Harvard and Oxford amongst others.
Scirus indexes the full text of scientific journals from many publishers and this also include many Open Acess (OA) repositories. Additionally a selection of scientific web pages can be searched.
