Thesis subject
Monitoring downstream processing of vaccine production
After production in bioreactors, the broth containing the vaccine is processed in several downstream processing steps. First clarification and concentration take place. Then the stream is purified by using chromatogram based separation methods as gel-filtration or ion-exchange. At the end of the production the vaccine is packed and distributed.
In the context of the parametric release projects, thesis can be done on downstream processing. For this work experimental and production data from NVI is used to characterise each production step.
