Memorandum of Understanding with Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil

The Brazilian Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) and Wageningen UR (University & Research centre) wish to continue and expand their existing cooperation in the fields of research and education. The Presidents of both institutions formalised this intention by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday the 4th of November 2013.

President Nilda de Fátima Ferriera Soares of UFV and President Aalt Dijkhuizen of Wageningen UR agreed to promote the development of joint PhD training courses, joint research programmes and projects, the exchange of staff members, MSc students and BSc students and the exchange of scientific literature, information and methodology.

Federal University of Viçosa

UFV is a technical university that offers courses in agricultural sciences, biological and health sciences, exact and technological sciences and humanities, language and arts. The university has 20,000 students and 3,000 staff members.

Brazilian-Dutch cooperation in the dairy chain

The signing ceremony was part of the opening of the workshop of international cooperation between Brazil and the Netherlands in the dairy chain.
