Seminar Description
This seminar was jointly organized by the Environmental Sciences Group (ESG) of Wageningen University and Research Centre (WUR), the Centre for Geo-Information (CGI) of WUR, C.T. de Wit Graduate School PE&RC, as well as the ISPRS Commission VII, Working Group I on Physical Modeling.
The one day seminar consisted of prominent remote sensing experts from all over the world, focusing on the primary knowledge domains of the Environmental Sciences Group, namely on ecosystems, soil, water and climate, landscapes and geo-information respectively.
The seminar was organized for the farewell of Michael Schaepman, who left Wageningen University and Research Centre for a new position in Switzerland as of March 2009. Michael Schaepman has been appointed full chair at the Remote Sensing Laboratories (RSL), Dept. of Geography of the University of Zurich (CH). Michael Schaepman will remain adjoint professor in Geo-Information and Remote Sensing for five more years in Wageningen.
