The remaining nematode drawings of De Man
During the last months, we placed the drawings of De Man on this site, just as his notes and copies as far as available in Wageningen. Still a number of drawings remain: drawings in an early phase, drawings which have been replaced by more accurate and possibly drawings which have not been published at all. We show them, to give you a impression of De Man’s way of working.
The names added, are those of De Man, we did not try to find the most recent name because we don’t know in how far the names are tentative and which pictures have been published or not. All drawings we have shown here are present in Wageningen and available for those interested.
We are very interested in the techniques he used (silver needle, pencil, sepia ink?). If anyone can provide us of additional information we would be very pleased.
