Wouter Hendriks

Wouter Hendriks is Professor Animal Nutrition at Wageningen University.
Research Officer at the Department of Animal Science of Massey University (New Zealand) was Wouter Hendriks' first job after completing his PhD in Monogastric Nutritional Physiology at that same university. Just four years later, in the year 2000, he became Head of the Department of Animal Nutrition & Physiology at the Institute of Food, Nutrition and Human Health of Massey University. And since 2005 Hendriks is back at Wageningen University, the university where it all started with a study Animal Nutrition. Now he's in charge of the chair group Animal Nutrition.
During his time in New Zealand he combined his work with the directorship of the Centre for Feline Nutrition of Massey University (from 1997 to 2005) and by being co-director of the AgResearch Centre for Pastoral Food Research at Massey University (from 2000 to 2005). In The Netherlands he has also always had more than one task at the time. From 2006 to 2008 he was Interim Head of the Chair group Human and Animal Physiology at Wageningen University and co-leader of the Cluster Animal Nutrition of Wageningen UR. And since 2007 he also heads the Chair group Animal Nutrition at the Faculty of Veterinary Science of Utrecht University.
