Your voice shapes the Library: Library improvements coming soon
Last month, we reached out to students to gather their feedback on how we can enhance the Library space. In this article, you can read more about the planned improvements.
Students frequently commented on the furniture. Many expressed the need for more height-adjustable tables. This summer, we'll add 24 of these tables to the 4th floor to better accommodate your needs.
Another request was for more greenery in Library’s relax area and quiet spaces for resting or even napping in the Library and throughout the Forum Building. We've noted the feedback and are considering options for more plants in the library. Currently, we offer bean bags in the relax corner, along with benches strategically placed at the end of hallways on various floors of the Forum building.
Some students commented on the need to reserve study spots. Unfortunately, reservations are always required for study spots on the 4th floor. During study and exam weeks, reservations are also needed for seats on the 3rd floor. However, study spots on the 2nd floor are always available on a walk-in basis. We hope this arrangement is flexible enough to accommodate different needs.
We're also addressing some questions about the Library’s air quality and temperature. Our team has contacted Forum facility management with this issue. We’ll return to this issue shortly. Thank you for your patience.
