Student Biology & Forest and Nature Conservation
Prior Education: Applied Biology, HAS University of Applied Sciences Den Bosch
During the final year at the HAS, it became more and more clear to me that I was long from being done with gaining knowledge and experience in the field of scientific research. Hence the choice to make the transfer to a MSc in Biology was made quickly and Wageningen University deemed to fit the bill perfectly because of its focus on research, connections abroad and all the choices in courses, specialisations, thesis's and internships.
Now I am almost one year into the study further and with confidence I can say that I haven’t regretted my choice once. A study at the WUR can be organised as versatile and as broad as you like. For example, I just recently chose to do the MSc Forest and Nature Conservation along side the MSc Biology in order to be able to specialise in ecology as well as in management. My thesis has already been planned and will be a combination of forest management and animal ecology in which I will focus on the predation of seeds in tropical rain forests in South-East China. After the WUR I hope to continue in the field of scientific research.
