Student testimonial
Julia - My professional plans are to become a good manager in an advanced company or corporation
I studied in the Organization and management of enterprises at Moscow State Agricultural University of V.P.Goryachkin. I am a graduate Manager economist now after successfully finishing it. I came to Wageningen as a participant in the Erasmus Mundus programme and I receive a monthly scholarship as well as I have covered tuition fee. My motivation to come here was mostly to get a degree in an EU university in order to work and get some experience in Europe.
Study choice
How did I in fact learn about Wageningen University? I took part in an educational fair for Erasmus Mundus, where several universities are represented. According to the criteria of that programme and to my profile, I was suitable for enrolling in this university.
There was also an option for me to go to Copenhagen, but I preferred the Netherlands. About education here I can definitely claim that it is really linked to my previous major and it appeals to my future professional plans. Wageningen, as a place, is perfect for studying- I cannot actually imagine a better one! Quiet environment, nice libraries- in one word nothing is distracting you from the studying process.
Another important feature is the team work, which I am not used to at all. However, I find it really useful and I hope to get accustomed to it soon. The university facilities are on a high level and the period system is quite resourceful as it is inefficient to study a whole-year programme in only two semesters like it is in Russia. The latter makes preparing for exams much easier and better for everyone. My professional plans are to become a good manager in an advanced company or corporation and to get some experience here and afterwards to get back to Moscow.
