Luc van Pierre: I investigated the interesting area of fungal community characterization in nematode-suppressive soils using the cutting-edge nanopore sequencing method
I had the pleasure of working on a BSc thesis at the Laboratory of Nematology, which was absolutely fascinating. I investigated the interesting area of fungal community characterization in nematode-suppressive soils using the cutting-edge nanopore sequencing method. I investigated the complex connection between nematodes and fungi in soil ecosystems in which nanopore sequencing technology offers new details about their role in regulating soil health.
The chair group's pleasant, collaborative and enjoyable environment played a part in the overall pleasant experience.
It was interesting to investigate disease-suppressive soils by using relatively new techniques during my BSc Thesis at the Laboratory of Nematology. I enjoyed the supportive collaboration and would highly recommend this chair group for doing a thesis.
