My thesis journey with the SOC group has been incredibly rewarding. It all began with a group project on PFAS pollution, which led me to approach Rob Comans to discuss the possibility of writing my thesis on PFAS speciation in soil and sediment. Together, we carefully outlined the project's details.

The invaluable guidance I received struck a perfect balance between independent work and timely supervision when needed. I also enjoyed the hands-on experience in the group's laboratory and subsequent data modelling.
