We are the Legal Affairs & Liaison Office team of the Environmental Sciences Group (ESG), part of Wageningen University & Research (WUR). A young and energetic team with strong growth ambitions, a passion for law, and a pragmatic approach to finding solutions.

To support our ambitions, we are looking for a Contract Officer.
As a Contract Officer, you will support our organization and legal staff both administratively and substantively in the drafting of a wide variety of agreements and other documents. You will also contribute to (legal) questions and requests as they arise. You will carry out some of your tasks independently, managing your own portfolio of responsibilities. You will act as a key link between internal stakeholders and the legal team, and you know how to navigate a complex organization with ease.
Your main tasks
- Drafting and reviewing legal (standard/template) agreements and handling them, possibly in consultation with legal counsel;
- Advising on general terms and conditions;
- Managing correspondence with various (internal) clients;
- Handling legal files, both substantively and administratively;
- Contributing to various developments within the organization;
- Acting as backup for our administrative assistant during their absence.
Your qualities
- Bachelor degree level of thinking and working; experience with Dutch law is a plus;
- You work carefully and accurately;
- You can work under pressure and set priorities;
- You enjoy working together on pragmatic solutions;
- You like to work independently, are proactive, and take responsibility;
- You have a pleasant, clear, and service-oriented communication style;
- You have good command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken;
- You are a natural connector and tactful
