Your job

Contribute to an Advanced Data Collection Platform for Policy and Sustainability

Do you have a keen eye for software architecture, technical depth, and social relevance? Would you like to contribute to a platform that will become the backbone for policy data on agriculture? Then we’d love to meet you.

We are building a new, modern platform that collects information on sustainability, business operations, and environmental impact in the agricultural sector. This data is essential for policy-making, research, and European reporting.

At its core, the system is a metadata-driven data management platform, linked to a low-code user interface engine. This enables us to create dynamic forms, automatic validation, and smart workflows. AI applications – such as integration of LLM technology (e.g., GPT/OpenAI) – are on the roadmap.
As a Senior Fullstack Software Developer, you’ll play a key role in the technical development. You will work in a multidisciplinary scrum team alongside data, platform, and domain specialists.

What will you do?

  • Build full-stack functionality with a modern JavaScript frontend (preferably Vue.js).
  • Develop a rule engine in C#, using design patterns such as the Visitor pattern.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs.
  • Contribute ideas on the use of LLM technology (such as GPT).
  • Work in a scrum team with plenty of room for technical input.

Your qualities

What You Bring – Essential

  • At least 5 years of experience as a fullstack software developer, with a focus on backend development.
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Modern JavaScript frameworks (such as Vue.js)
    • .NET 8 / C# and Entity Framework Core
    • RESTful API design
  • Strong analytical skills and a good sense of scalable architecture.
  • Fluent command of Dutch (spoken and written).
  • Availability to work on-site at least 2 days per week (Wageningen and/or The Hague), with at least 1 day being flexibly scheduled.
  • Experience with Scrum/agile methodologies.
A plus if you're familiar with any of the following:
  • Experience with Redis for caching and session management.
  • Experience with expression trees or dynamic code generation.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Understanding of ETL processes or data warehouse integrations.
  • Experience with LLM integrations such as GPT or Azure OpenAI.
What We Offer
  • A key role in a project that impacts sustainability, policy, and data infrastructure.
  • Collaboration with a technically mature team where your expertise is valued.
  • A hybrid work environment with room for autonomy and in-depth development.
  • A market-based salary that matches your experience and added value.
About the Work Field
We are developing a future-proof platform for collecting and processing data on sustainability, agricultural practices, and environmental effects. This information supports policy-making, research, and international reporting.

That calls for smart technology and a robust architecture. With your expertise in fullstack development, API design, and rule engines, you will help lay the technical foundation.
You bridge the gap between design and implementation – and make reliable policy information technically possible.
