Wageningen Dialogue is the umbrella term under which our researchers, lecturers, students, and employees conduct dialogues with other researchers, colleagues, experts, stakeholders, and society. It serves as a starting point for organising meetings, online and on-site, from one-off sessions that last a few hours to long-term tracks and everything in between. With a community of users and facilitators, Wageningen Dialogue provides inspiration and support, and we connect you with the right people.

Are you concerned about a social issue? Do you want to enrich yourself by connecting with people with different perspectives on a topic? Can your research benefit from different ideas, even if they come from an unexpected direction? Could you/your organisational division contribute to current complex challenges? If so, get started yourself or reach out to us.

Dialogue community

The WUR Dialogue Community of Practice (Dialogue Community) is an inspiring and interactive learning community with members that share and develop a collective philosophy, guiding principles, enthusiasm and inspiring practices regarding dialogue and deliberation processes to find answers together. The community enables researchers, lecturers, programme leaders, business developers, students, and anyone else interested in dialogue, to make use of and benefit from the potential of dialogue and deliberation. Through monthly meetups and an ongoing exchange of experiences, the Dialogue Community strengthens the skills of the WUR community that’s required to conduct and organise dialogues and dialogue processes. Employees can join the Wageningen Dialogue intranet group to ask questions and share experiences. Everyone in the WUR community is invited to join, by leaving your details here.

Facilitators Pool

The Facilitators Pool is an active group of process coaches (researchers, lecturers, students, and staff) that can strengthen the use and quality of dialogue processes at WUR and with partners and society. They share a philosophy, principles, and practice with regard to dialogue and consultation.

Members of this community co-create, co-design, experiment, implement, inspire, exchange, reflect, and improve their support practices. The pool offers experienced facilitators that can be hired for dialogue and deliberation processes, as well as for general consultation. Are you looking for support or are you interested in joining the pool? Please contact Simone Ritzer.

The Omnia is set to become Wageningen University & Research’s showpiece, offering an on-campus opportunity for students and researchers to engage in open dialogue with each other and with the public. It offers an open space for sharing ideas and opinions and for open minded discussions. But the venue has more to offer. Explore all the possibilities of Omnia and get an impression of the building which will be opened in Spring 2022. Rooms can already be booked.
