In the coming forty years the same amount of food will be needed as has been produced in the last 8.000 years. This challenge can be supported by the application of high tech systems and materials. Furthermore new possibilities in ICT will likewise play an important role.

Intensive cooperation between relevant sectors will be imperative in order to support these developments. This cooperation will be established by a consortium of different businesses and government and has the goal of intensifying crossover cooperation and innovation.
