Tamacroppi challenge: Can students keep a plant alive?

During the Irrigation and Water Management course, students learn to calculate how much water crops need, and how often and in what way crops can best be watered.

But can they do this if they have to water the plant themselves?

This question inspired teacher Chris Seijgers to come up with a challenge to make the lessons more vivid: the Tamacroppi Challenge.

Each student received a plant (onion, wheat, corn or soybean) to take home and now the question is: how long will the plant survive?
