Why do we remember the location of potato chips better than apples?
Research by Rachelle de Vries shows that we remember where we can find high-calorie food (such as potato chips) better than where low-calorie food is. We are possibly 'pre-programmed'. This insight can help us tackle obesity.
Rachelle recently obtained her PhD with a study on Foraging minds in modern food environments. In her study, she demonstrated her findings with tests in the lab and in the field during Lowlands Science.
