Our theme this year is Tradition in Transition!

Our world as we know it today has been built on past cultures and knowledge. Although we have come a long way, society seems to be stuck in linear systems, unequal economic structures, and ignorance of the exploitation and damage of indigenous communities and traditions. Many of these problems began when we started to work against nature and forgot our traditions or oppressed those who valued them.

Especially in today's interconnected and globalised world, it is more important than ever to collaborate with nature and listen to cultures that are still doing so. Combined with modern technology, there is so much for us to learn on our way of creating a more sustainable, equal, and diverse global community.

Tradition and Transition - This means preserving the traditions and cultures of our past, while actively working towards a better future. This year's TED Wageningen will explore what that means within the scopes of ecosvstem thinking, economics, culture, ethics and law, and welfare.

Programme

The walk-in is at 1:00 PM and the competition starts at 2:00 PM. A new round starts every hour where the grand finale will ultimately be played around 5 p.m.

​Between the rounds and after the competition there is the opportunity for a chat, snack, drink and there are acts, such as stories, music and theater. The exact program will follow!.
