Bayer is an innovation company with core competencies in the Life Science areas of health care and agriculture. Our strategy is aimed at finding groundbreaking solutions for a number of today's biggest challenges: a good health and sufficient food for a growing world population. And our colleagues in the Benelux contribute to the realization of that ambition.
Bayer is strongly represented in the Benelux for more than a century. We have over 2.300 employees spread over ten sites. The Vegetable Seeds business is specialized in breeding, production and sales of vegetable seeds. It is a leading, fast-growing and ambitious part of the company with locations in Wageningen, Bergschenhoek and Enkhuizen, and around the world.
The Crop Science division of Bayer is committed to bringing a broad range of solutions to help nourish our growing world. We produce seeds for fruits, vegetables and key crops—corn, soybeans and cotton—that help farmers have better harvests while using important resources more efficiently. We work to find sustainable solutions for soil health, help farmers use data to improve farming practices and conserve natural resources, and provide crop protection products to minimize damage from pests and disease. Through programs and partnerships, we collaborate with farmers, researchers, non-profit organizations, universities and others to help tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges.
