Andriy Kuzmyn graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University (Lviv, Ukraine) and received a master's degree in Biotechnology.
Following his graduation, Andriy was a student at UNESCO/IUPAC Postgraduate Course in Polymer Science in the Czech Academy of Science Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry (Prague, Czech Republic), Department Biomaterials and Bioanalogous Systems. His research was focused on the design of polymer biomaterials and functional biomaterial interfaces that can be used as supporting structures for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering and biosensors.
Currently, Andriy is working as a PhD candidate at the Organic Chemistry Lab at Wageningen University. His research project is about creating new efficient ways for synthesis antifouling and bioactive surfaces applying visible light-triggered living polymerization. These surfaces are further will be used in biosensing and tissue engineering applications.
