My research interest is in the governance of food technologies. I have an interdisciplinary background combining a MSc. in Plant Biotechnology from WUR, with Innovation Sciences from UU. Previously, I worked as a Jr. Specialist for five years at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), assisting Latin-American countries in policies on biotechnology and biosafety.
My research project is focused on the role of visual framing in the democratic governance of novel food technologies.
