Innovation direction in socio-technical transitions in the Brazilian pig production: past and current dynamics linked to distribution and diversity
Jean Porto Vilas Boas Souza has been studying how socio-technical systems evolve and change over time since the beginning of 2016. He is engaged in a PhD project named 'Innovation direction in socio-technical transitions in the Brazilian pig production: past and current dynamics linked to distribution and diversity'. This project is also linked to the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply, company in which I have been employed since 2000. The project main aim is to contribute to enhance the knowledge on sustainable innovation and public policy focused on sustainability transitions in developing countries and emerging countries, such as Brazil. Another objective is to contribute to unravel the innovation direction dynamics, topic linked to science and technology policy, innovation policy and the normative dimensions of those.
