The Laboratory of Nematology and Wageningen UR Library are digitizing over 3,300 articles on nematode taxonomy and systematics. The literature was collected by Drs. Piet Loof, a nematode taxonomist at the Laboratory of Nematology of Wageningen University.
Drs. P.A.A. (Piet) Loof worked at Wageningen UR from 1955 – 2007 and was an eminent nematode taxonomist. After his retirement in 1988, he continued working in the Laboratory of Nematology for more than two decades. As a part of his heritage, he left a literature collection on nematode taxonomy and systematics: numerous boxes with reprints and hard copies. The Laboratory of Nematology and Wageningen UR Library are digitizing this collection of 3,300 articles.
Currently, 1,300 articles are online available in the Drs. P.A.A. Loof literature collection. The process of digitization is not yet finished. The articles are all indexed full text. We think this is a wealth of information on nematode taxonomy and systematics from the years 1859 until 2007.
