Currently issues of food security and the role of agriculture in development are strongly debated. This study intends to analyse livehoods of the rural population in a village (Lubaga) in Tanzania for the past 25 years.
Their agriculture-based livelihoods will be studied for the third time. How did rural households (women and men) construct their livelihoods since 1988? In 1988 a first study was done, and a second one in 1998. Analysis of livelihood pathways, the role of agriculture and gender relations in a dynamic economic political context covering a period of 25 years.
