FNP visiting professor appointed world bank special representative for climate change

The World Bank has announced that Patrick Verkooijen has been appointed as its Special Representative for Climate Change. Verkooijen will leave his current post as Head of Agriculture and Climate Change at the World Bank for the new position and will continue his Visiting Professorship at the Forest and Nature Conservancy Policy Group.

Verkooijen brings his experience as an international negotiator and coordinator in international sustainable development and climate change activities to his new post. He was also recently appointed as the Professor of Practice of Sustainable Development Diplomacy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston. Verkooijen's Visiting Professorship at FNP focuses on sustainable development diplomacy.
