Dr. ir. Cornelis Gardebroek is an associate professor in Agricultural Economics and Rural Policy at Wageningen University. His research and teaching focus on applied econometric analyses of the agricultural sector, with applications in the field of markets and prices, technology adoption, and risk and uncertainty. He published his work in the major agricultural economics journals including the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, European Review of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Land Economics, Agricultural Systems, and Agricultural Economics.
Moreover, he received four scientific awards for his publications. His courses Econometrics (AEP21306) and Advanced Econometrics (AEP60306) have received multiple awards by Wageningen University for excellence in teaching. He organized various PhD summer courses in Advanced Econometrics (Panel data, spatial econometrics, GMM, Maximum Entropy Econometrics).
He is a member of the International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium (IATRC) and an editorial board member of the European Review of Agricultural Economics (ERAE). Furthermore, he is a tutor in the Wageningen University BSc Honours program, member of the BSc and MSc Economics program committee, and a member of the Program committee of the Wageningen University Honours Program.
