I started working on my PhD concerning formative assessment since 2018. In this four year during trajectory, I do research in how secondary school teachers use formative assessment in their classrooms. We train the teachers how they can apply formative assessment within a professional learning community and I follow their development in my research.
What I appreciate most of my research project is the connection between research and practice. It is very inspiring to see how teachers progress in their development and to see teachers using implications from research to improve their teaching.
In my opinion education needs to continously be improved and challenged, to adapt to the socialtal developments of the world. Therefore, I hope I could play my part in helping education to evolve.
