Dr. Maral Mahdad is invited as a keynote speaker and workshop organizer to International Conference on Management of Technology and Innovation (IRAMOT) in Tehran, Iran. IRAMOT is the largest gathering of leading representatives from industry, academia & policy-makers in the fields of innovation & technology management in the Middle East. This year’s conference theme is The Role of Management of Technology & Innovation in Promoting National Resilience and Sustainable Development.

Her keynote speech will focus on 'Leveraging Ecosystem Approach toward Sustainable Innovation' and it is followed by workshop to provide empirical evidences under different themes of Open Innovation, UIC, Open Strategy and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems.

She Aims to discuss the steps of moving toward ecosystem approach with different actors:

"The first crucial step in promoting and shaping innovation ecosystems requires familiarity with nature of current actors at different levels of micro, meso and macro within a system. The second step is not only the deep understanding of relationships among these actors but the relationship between different levels. This information leads us to only map and conceptualize the current stage of the ecosystem, however the next step which is how to promote and shape ‘Innovation Ecosystems’ considering these complexities remains challenging."
