Sustainable Development Goals

Our colleague Sylvia Karlsson-Vinkhuyzen has returned from 10 days in Colombia where she attended the International Civil Society Week (‪#‎ICSW2016‬) in Bogota, where one of the major topics for workshops was how civil society will follow-up and hold governments to account for the Sustainable Development Goals. Sylvia is a co-opted member of the board of CIVICUS, the major organising partner of the ICSW which held a meeting back to back with the ICSW.

On 2 May Sylvia visited the third top public university in Colombia, Universidad de Valle in the city of Cali where she met with researchers in the Faculty of Administration Sciences and gave a well-attended guest lecture on the topic “Accountability for Global Goals: Who Ensures States Keep Their Promises?”
