In this research seminar Katty Sanchez Amiquero presents her paper. The title of the paper is Success and failure factors in agricultural cooperatives. In the paper she presents an integrated framework of success and failure factors of agricultural cooperatives, based on a review of recent literature.
"We identify five categories of success and failure factors: the societal environment, quality of management, cooperative strategy, member base, commitment and product. Failure factors in general reflect success factors, although in some of the distinguished categories there are differences. The analysis of an agricultural cooperative in Peru, presented as an illustrative case study, shows the applicability of the framework for the analysis of success and failure factors of single cooperatives."
