The EnAlgae project is a stategic interreg IVb project with 21 partners across North Western Europe. The ambition of the project is to accelerate the introduction of algae biomass based energy products in the region.
EnAlgae is a strategic interreg project (North West Europe) that has teh main focus on the possible contribution of algae (micro and macro) on greenhouse gas emission reduction. WUR contribution is on macro and micro business economics of algae production for energy purposes. Next, WUR is participatiing with its open pond system in Lelystad in a network of algae pilot plants within the project. This network exchanges experiences and information in order to improve operations and identifty improvements. All the knowledge and products of EnAlgae will become available to all stakeholders through a Decision Support System.
