To achieve its ambition, FIT4FOOD2030 has created the FOOD 2030 Platform, a sustainable, multi-actor network mobilising a wide variety of stakeholders via an interlinked structure at the level of cities, regions, countries and Europe. Recognising the evolving nature of the FOOD 2030 policy framework, the project activities will be flexible, responsive, inclusive, efficient, innovative, value-adding and supportive to the FOOD 2030 policy framework of the ECs Directorate General for Research & Innovation (DG RTD).

The FOOD 2030 Platform is based on three inter-linked structures:

  1. The EU Think Tank links the European Commission with the FOOD 2030 Platform, serves as a sounding board, and has a global outreach
  2. Policy Labs align research and innovation policies and programs on Food and Nutrition Security. They build on and expand existing national and regional networks
  3. City Labs develop and pilot action-oriented trainings for students, consumers, researchers and professionals. They link Science Centres/Shops to networks of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact cities
