Trendspotter

For trend analyses we commonly use Trendspotter, a program that can detect flexible trends. The input of the program has hitherto been annual indices without taking variation between sites into account. We propose to refine the trend calculations by developing a procedure in which we first calculate year indices taking account of all potential sources of variation and only after this correction use the corrected year indices in Trendspotter.
