The first 72 years of WUR is well documented in a three-part volume. Time to complete the history of 100 years with a history book about the last 28 years. This fourth book in the series describes how Wageningen rose from her alleged ashes to become a leading institute in agro- and food research.

This is how the book about the past 28 years of Wageningen University begins. Joost van Kasteren and Martijn de Groot describe how Wageningen University & Research unexpectedly came into being. It was a decision that led to our university climbing out of a deep slump in the 1990s.
