On Monday 13 August, the Helikon Quartet will be performing at Impulse. The quartet is a part of the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands (NJO), made up of promising young musicians who tour the Netherlands during the summer in different configurations. Since this year is Wageningen University & Research’s 100-year anniversary, they have chosen to perform on our campus.
The Helikon Quartet is an exceptionally talented string quartet and will be performing a programme of stunning compositions inspired by climate and climate change, with clear references to the elements of water, fire, earth, and wind. They will also be performing a climate-related piece that was composed specifically for them.
The speaker’s corner is an excellent location for this performance, thanks to its fun and intimate setting. An entrance fee will be charged for this performance. More information will follow.
