Month of Education - Student MOOC Science of Beer

Four honours students from Wageningen University & Research are working on a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) about a special topic: beer. It will not only be about how beer can be consumed, but also about aspects such as production, marketing, and health risks. In 2018, the MOOC will be offered on behalf of Wageningen University & Research through various channels.

A MOOC by students takes the concept of the “flipped classroom” to the next level, in which students teach instead of being taught. The entire production chain of beer will be discussed across four modules. The students will not produce the entire course alone: they will also be on camera and will engage with the participants. Meanwhile, the team has grown with other enthusiastic students.
