Month of Education - Student MOOC Science of Beer

Four honours students from Wageningen University & Research made an Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) about a special topic: beer. It is not only be about how beer can be consumed, but also about aspects such as production, marketing, and health risks. In 2018, the MOOC is offered on behalf of Wageningen University & Research through various channels.

A MOOC by students takes the concept of the “flipped classroom” to the next level, in which students teach instead of being taught. The entire production chain of beer will be discussed across four modules. The students not only produced the entire course alone: they also engage with the participants. The MOOC was first launched on April 24th.
