Christian Siderius is an adaptation and water resources management expert whose research focuses on the influence of climate variability and extremes on people’s vulnerability and adaptation strategies, with specific interest in the value of water and the financial feasibility of water conservation. He has experience in working with field data, 'big data', remote sensing data and hydro-economic and hydrological catchment models.

Over the past 15 years he has been involved in many projects focusing on water management in general and adaptation to climate change in specific, such as the HI-AWARE and ‘HighNoon’ projects on adaptation to changing water resources in South Asia, ‘APWAM’, on improving water productivity in different types of irrigation schemes, and UMFULA, on reducing uncertainty in climate mmodel projections for better decision making, with a focus on Eastern Africa.

Currently, he works as an independent consultant at Uncharted Waters Research, based in Sydney, Australia. www.unchartedwatersresearch.org
