I am a social psychologist who has a PhD on the role of emotions in behaviour. I manage and conduct research at Wageningen Economic Research. My expertise refers to understanding consumers’ healthy or sustainable behavior. My research designs explain why consumers engage in these behaviours, or refer to experimental designs to guide consumers towards desired behavior. Important concepts are for example emotions, social norms, consumer segmentation, values and habits. Additionally, I translate the findings in policy recommendations or marketing concepts, such that scientific findings are translated to practice.
