Stavros Makris is a postdoctoral researcher in a joint project between the LAW group and the ENP group at Wageningen University (WUR, the Netherlands). Stavros was previously a Teaching Fellow at Sciences Po. He holds a PhD in Competition Law and an LLM in European and International Law from the European University Institute, an LLM in Competition and Corporate Law (Dist.) from University College London, an LLM in Philosophy of Law (cum laude) and an LLB from the University of Athens. Stavros has also practiced law in two leading law firms in Greece.
Stavros' postdoctoral research aims to contribute to a better understanding of the symbiotic or antithetical relationship between Blockchain technology (BCT) and law in general and competition law in particular, as well as to explore and assess the implications of BCT for sustainable food governance.
