After 5 years of research, scientists will present the main conclusions of the EU-FP7 project REDNEX —Innovative and practical management approaches to reduce nitrogen excretion by ruminants during a final conference. This project was coordinated by Wageningen UR Livestock Research.
This final conference will be held in Paris at FIAP on the 30th August from 10.30 to 16.30h (immediately after EAAP Nantes). The main results from the project will be presented. These will include approaches to improve efficiency by the cow, estimating and mitigating N excretion, process models to aid understanding of N use and farm scale decision systems to aid extension workers and farmers to improve efficiency and reduce N losses. In addition the conference will examine longer term consequences of future developments in the CAP.
Registration is free. Also there are funds available to support the attendance of early career scientists from Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean to attend.
