On Wednesday November 13th 2013 the Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen UR will host an international seminar to discuss public-private partnerships and the potential role they play in improving beneficial market access for smallholder farmers.
The central question to consider is: Do PPPs effectively stimulate new market linkages that benefit low-income farmers, or do they just subsidise business as usual?
Three interesting national and international guest speakers from the public and private sector will share their visions, inviting the audience for a lively debate.
Market Access for Sustainable Development
The seminar is held within the context of the international short course Market Access for Sustainable Development. In this course about 40 international professionals come together to share and learn how to improve market access for smallholder farmers in their respective countries. The course participants will participate in the seminar.
